Tigers to Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer

Philadelphia, Pa. – The Holy Family University women's basketball team is raising money and awareness for its Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer game at this Saturday's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest versus Nyack College at the Campus Center Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.

Holy Family will have a special guest on-hand for the game as Lincoln Hanson, the son of women's basketball alum, Meg Bauer-Hanson, will serve as honorary team captain.  Lincoln was diagnosed with pediatric cancer on Feb. 11, 2021, and is currently in remission. Lincoln will be accompanied by his mother, Meg, and father Jay.

Holy Family student-athletes will wear yellow shoe laces during the game to show awareness for pediatric cancer.  There will also be limited ribbons and laces available with any donation. Donations will be accepted at the ticket gate and all proceeds will go to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Lace Up 4 Cancer.

About Lace Up 4 Cancer
Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer began in the fall of 2011.  Since then, professional, college and youth teams have participated in raising funds and awareness for the #1 disease killer of children.  To date, over a half million athletes have supported our cause.  $4 from every $5 pair of laces and 100% of all donations directly benefit kids and families in the state where the funds are raised.
