Mission Statement

  • Holy Family University’s Strength & Conditioning program supports the mission of both the athletic department and the core values set forth by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Our S&C staff’s main mission is to provide a competitive, success driven culture, backed by science and a determination to make winning championships the standard for the Holy Family athlete. We work to achieve this through our motto “The Expectation Is More” and by focusing on 6 essential “Pillars to Performance Excellence."

Stronger Through Science
  • We believe in using proven training methods that have been backed up by contemporary science.
 Movement Efficiency
  • Training the athlete to unlock their full range-of-motion by using a wide variety of movements in all planes of motion

Multijoint Ground-Based Movements

  • Use of ground-based (on feet) closed-chain multi-joint exercises are most effective for training.
Injury Resilience
  • Training to help the athlete stay on the field by using proven injury prevention modalities.

Game Speed Development

  • Train to develop greater speed and change-of-direction ability to outperform the opponent.

Adversity Proof

  • Instill confidence in our student-athletes so they can be relentless both on and off the field/court.
