PHILADELPHIA – Trailing by one entering the final four minutes of the third quarter, the HFU women's basketball team would close the game on a 32-12 run, including outscoring the Rams 21-6 in the fourth, in a 69-50 win at Jefferson Tuesday evening.

- Kara Meredith (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Archbishop Wood) fell one point shy of doubling up every other scorer as she fell two points shy of a career-high with 31 points on 10-of-19 field goals, 6-of-12 3-pointers and 5-of-6 free throws
- Taylor Hinkle (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) (10 rebounds), Skyler Searfoss (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe Area) (five assists) an Amy Ngo (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) (three steals) posted respective game-highs
- Claire Dougherty (Lehman, Pa./Lake-Lehman) was also in double-figures with 10 points

How it Happened
- After the opening 15 minutes were played within a single possession, with six lead changes and four ties, Meredith and Lauren Palangio (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) combined for 10 of the 12 points in a 12-4 stretch that ended with a Lola Ibarrondo (Bristol, Pa./Neshaminy) layup putting HFU ahead 31-24 in the final minute of the first half
- Jefferson would close out the scoring for a five-point deficit at the break, before the Tigers pushed their lead back to seven twice during the first 2:06 of the third quarter
- The Rams would answer with a 2-10 surge, with a 3-pointer give them a 37-38 edge with 4:29 left in the penultimate period
- Holy Family responded with a 9-2 flurry of its own, starting and ending with Meredith free throws for a 46-40 advantage with 1:47 showing on the third quarter clock
- Jefferson got as close as 48-45 when it opened the fourth with a foul shot, but that would be its only point of the first 4:15 of the period as Meredith again highlighted a 19-2 run with nine points
