Five Named to 2021 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Philadelphia, Pa. – Five members of the Holy Family University women's lacrosse team have earned spots on the 2021 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Academic Honor Roll as announced by the organization earlier this week.

The IWLCA honored 442 student-athletes from 73 different institutions on the 2021 IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater through the 2020-21 academic year.

The following Holy Family student-athletes were honored:

Maura Coleman (Lower Moreland, Pa./Little Flower) | Jr. | Nursing
Yasmine Machlof (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) | Jr. | Biology; Pre-Medicine Track
Sarah Reed (Croydon, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic (Bryn Athyn)) | Sr. | Biology Secondary Education
Mackenzie Santucci (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional (RCBC)) | Jr. | Pre-K-4 Education
Abigail Zaleppa (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) | Jr. | Sports Marketing Management/Accounting

All five student-athletes were recently named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Academic squad for boasting GPAs 3.50 or higher through the 2020-21 academic year.

In addition; Holy Family was among 319 schools across Division I, II, III and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2020-21 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. Holy Family finished this past year with an impressive 3.52 GPA as a team.

This is the second time Holy Family has earned the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad award. The Tigers were previously recognized for the 2018-19 academic year.
