Women’s Lacrosse Opens 2026 Season

PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University Women's Lacrosse Team opened its 2026 season with a 6-18 loss to Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Sunday afternoon at Tiger Field. 
 
Individual Highlights
  • Lexi Ryan (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) led all players with career-highs of eight draw controls, double the amount of any other player, and three caused turnovers
  • Jocelyn McLaughlin (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) also had three caused turnovers
  • Riley Fudala (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) topped the Tigers with four ground balls in her collegiate debut
  • Gwen Varley (East Earl, Pa./Garden Spot) recorded her fourth collegiate hat trick
  • Nicole Wiser (Langhorne, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) and Haydee Guzman (New Castle, Del./St. Georges Technical), who was making her collegiate debut, both made five saves
  • Also making their collegiate debuts were Zoe Cullin (Townsend, Del./St. Georges Technical), Ava Reis (Morrell, Pa./New Foundations Charter School), Casey Schuette (Warrington, Pa./Archbishop Wood), Julia Leibig (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem), Morgan Wise (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area Senior), Landyn Persicano (East Greenwich, N.J./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) and Jamie Gugger (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) 
    • Schuette scored her first collegiate goal, while Leibig recorded her first collegiate assist
  • Julie Gallardo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Township) joined Ryan and Varley with multiple points
