Women’s Lacrosse Defeats St. Thomas Aquinas 18-1

SPARKILL, N.Y. - The Holy Family University Women's Lacrosse Team picked up its first victory of 2026 with an 18-1 triumph at St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday afternoon. 
 
The Tigers tallied the last 17 goals of the match, highlighted by a 9-0 second quarter, after the Spartans momentarily equalized 4:42 in.  
 
Individual Highlights
  • Julie Gallardo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Township) recorded her first collegiate hat trick, while also setting career-bests with match-highs of six points, five ground balls, three assists and three caused turnovers
  • Lexi Ryan (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) had three assists too, while registering quadruple the amount of draw controls as any other player with eight, both of which were carer-bests
  • Jaci Campbell (Philadelphia, Pa./New Foundations Charter School) (five ground balls) and Jamie Gugger (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) (three caused turnovers) joined Gallardo in posting match and season-highs 
  • Taina Harkins (Hopewell, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) netted the fifth hat trick of her career, while adding two assists
  • Freshman Julia Leibig (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) recorded her first collegiate brace, while fellow rookie Morgan Wise (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area Senior) scored the first two goals of her collegiate career 
  • Freshmen Zoe Cullin (Townsend, Del./St. Georges Technical), Landyn Persicano (East Greenwich, N.J./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) and Riley Fudala (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) all netted the first goals of their collegiate careers
  • Fellow classmate Haydee Guzman (New Castle, Del./St. Georges Technical) made six saves to pick up her first collegiate win
