HFU's
Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)) and
Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington) were two of the seven student-athletes named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Women's Volleyball Team, which is voted on by the sports information offices of the 30 area institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
The accolade adds to growing list of honors for the duo, who were both selected on to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) First Team.
Kidd was also voted All-East Region First Team and All-America Honorable Mention, while Kinzer was named the Nov. 2025 CACC Student-Athlete of the Month.
The pair helped lead HFU to its first CACC Championship Match and NCAA Tournament appearance since 2021. In the NCAA Tournament, the seventh-seeded Tigers would knock off second-seeded Adelphi in the first round.
Academically, both are CSC Academic All-District selections, CACC All-Academic Team honorees and members of Chi Alpha Sigma.
Kidd possesses a 3.85 cumulative grade point average (GPA) as a biology major, while Kinzer sports a 3.87 cumulative GPA as a management-marketing major.
