For the fourth time in program history, HFU Volleyball had multiple student-athletes earn All-East Region Honors, as both the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) recently released their All- Region Teams.
Mia Wise (Genoa, Ill./Genoa-Kingston) notably became the first Tiger to be selected as the AVCA East Region Freshman of the Year, in addition to being voted First Team All-East Region by the D2CCA, while
Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)) is the fourth to be named a First Team Honoree by both the AVCA and D2CCA.
Wise leads the East Region and currently ranks fifth in Division II with 1,373 assists, which is the third most in the program's single-season history.
The freshman is also first in the region with 10.48 assists per set, fourth in the program's single-season annals, and third with 68 aces, which is fourth nationally and seventh in the program's single-season history.
Kidd leads the region in a category too, as she ranks 35th in Division II with a 35.5 hitting percentage, which is now second in the program's single-season annals.
In addition to leading Holy Family in hitting percentage, the senior is second with 61 blocks and third with 294 kills.
