Kidd Becomes Volleyball’s Second All-American

For the second time in program history, HFU Volleyball had a student-athlete earn All-America Honors as Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)) was recognized as an Honorable Mention Middle Blocker by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

The senior joins Chase Wassel, who did so in 2018, in accomplishing the feat.

An All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and All-East Region First Team selection, Kidd led the league and region, and ranked 34th in Division II, with a 35.5 hitting percentage, which is now second in HFU's single-season history.

In addition to leading the Tigers in hitting percentage, she ranked second with 64 blocks and third with 294 kills.

Kidd ends her Holy Family career fourth in program history in hitting percentage (.298), tied for seventh in block solos (50), eighth in blocks assists (127) and ninth in blocks (177).
