SINKING SPRING, Pa. –
Addyson Given's (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington) All-Tournament performance helped the HFU Bowling Team win three matches at Kutztown's Golden Bear Invite over the weekend, highlighted by a victory over the host who would go on to win the tournament.
Given's average of 202.2 pins in traditional play on Saturday was the third highest amongst the 63 competitors. She knocked down a team-best 228 in the last match of the day, an 830-826 triumph over Alvernia.
The Tigers also defeated Kutztown on Saturday, 885-831, before going on to beat Chestnut Hill, 929-634, with a season-best pin total in baker play on Sunday.
Maria Hindman (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) and
Emily Simpson (Levittown, N.J./Neshaminy) also were in the top-half of the field in traditional play on Saturday, posting respective averages of 171.40 and 168.60 as each surpassed 200 once, while
Shayla Hess (Churchville, Pa./Council Rock South) totaled 199 pins in the triumph over Kutztown.
