TURNERSVILLE, N.J. - The Holy Family University Bowling Team swept both of its matches in bracket play on Sunday, defeating Adelphi and Wilmington 4-0 on the final day of the Wildcat DII Invitational hosted at Bowelro.
The victories avenged narrow losses to the Panthers (849-863) and Wildcats (802-808) in traditional play on Saturday.
In total the Tigers lost four matches by 14 pins or less, including two to Daemen in baker play on Friday (783-789 and 795-796).
Addyson Given (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington) led HFU with an average of 175.80 pins in traditional play, highlighted by a 200 in the Tigers' final match, as the freshman ranked 21st among 53 individuals.
Maria Hindman (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) was second with an average of 167.80 pins, followed closely by
Shayla Hess (Churchville, Pa./Council Rock South) (160.0),
Catherine Cosden (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) (156.60) and
Emily Simpson (Levittown, N.J./Neshaminy) (156.40).
