NEW CITY, N.Y. – The HFU Bowling Team finished fourth at the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Fall Regular Season Tournament hosted at New City Bowl over the weekend.
This was the first of two league tournaments during the season, with the second hosted at Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park, N.J. on Feb. 28 and March 1.
The top four teams in conference the standings following that meet will qualify for the 2026 CACC Bowling Tournament.
Holy Family won four matches over the two days, highlighted by going 3-2 in traditional play on Saturday, when the Tigers defeated Wilmington (852-835), Caldwell (808-745) and Chestnut Hill (755-680).
Addyson Given (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington) led HFU with an average of 177.0 pins in traditional play, good for 10th amongst the 30 individuals to compete. She bowled a 203 in a loss to eventual tournament champion Dominican.
Maria Hindman (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) was also in the top-half of the field with an average of 172.6 pins.
Also competing for the Tigers were
Shayla Hess (Churchville, Pa./Council Rock South) (161.6),
Emily Simpson (Levittown, N.J./Neshaminy) (158.0) and
Brigidmarie Ferreira (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Towne Charter) (118.2).
HFU would beat Wilmington 775-752 in their first baker match on Sunday to improve to 4-2 before losing their final four matches of the weekend, including a narrow 766-770 setback to CHC.
