The HFU women's lacrosse team was second in the league with three All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) First Team performers,
Lynn Hardy (Audubon, N.J./Camden Catholic),
Mackenzie Santucci (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional (RCBC)) and
Rianna Shields (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South), while
Payton Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) joined the trio in being recognized as she was a second team selection.
Hardy and Santucci repeat as All-CACC First Teamers, while Shields and Pugh, both sophomores, receive the first postseason accolades of their careers.
Hardy, the 2022 CACC Defensive Player of the Year, is top four in the conference with a team-leading 112 draw controls and 47 ground balls, which rank second and tied for sixth in the program's single-season history. Her 6.89 draw controls per game are 13th in Division II, and she was top five on HFU with 44 points, 26 goals and 20 caused turnovers. The senior was also third on the Tigers with 18 assists, which ranks tied for fourth in the program's single-season annals.
Santucci led Holy Family with 15 free position goals, was second with 67 points and 49 goals, and third with 59 draw controls and 18 assists, all of which are top 16 in the league. The 18 assists and 67 points rank tied for fourth and tied for sixth in the program's single-season history. The graduate was also fourth on the Tigers with 31 ground balls.
Shields earns her first career All-CACC honor after a campaign in which she is tied for second in both the conference and Division II with a single-season program record 78 goals. The sophomore also set a single-season program record with 86 points, which is seventh in the league and 15th nationally. Additionally, Shields topped HFU with two game-winning goals and was second with 14 free position goals as she netted a hat trick in 14-of-18 appearances.
Pugh anchored the defense with 31 caused turnovers, which is second in both the CACC and the program's single-season annals. She was also second on Holy Family and is sixth in the conference with 38 ground balls, while finishing fourth on the Tigers with 11 draw controls.
