Maura Coleman (Lower Moreland, Pa./Little Flower) became the third Tiger of the 2023 season to be named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Defensive Player of the Week after anchoring a defense that allowed just four goals over two matches in a 2-0 week.
After totaling eight ground balls and seven caused turnovers, the graduate student joins
Lynn Hardy (Audubon, N.J./Camden Catholic) and
Payton Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) in having received the honor this year.
Coleman led all players with career-highs of six ground balls and six caused turnovers, the latter of which were double the amount of any other player, the second most in a single match in program history and tied for the seventh most in Division II this season, in Tuesday's 19-3 win over Felician.
She then had two ground balls and a caused turnover as Holy Family defeated Alliance 25-1 on Saturday.
