The Holy Family University women's soccer team had the maximum allowable six student-athletes on the 2023 Academic All-District® Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators, highlighted by
Brynn Hess (Benton, Pa./Benton),
Alyssa Hooten (Pocono Summit, Pa./Pocono Mountain East),
Ava Hooten (Pocono Summit, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) and
Gianna Penecale (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) repeating as honorees.
Joining that quartet in earning the accolade were
Rebecca Casper (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) and
Lexi Murphy (Woolwich Township, N.J./Kingsway Regional (Saint Francis U)).
The Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
In order to be eligible, a student-athlete must:
- be at least a sophomore academically and athletically
- have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average
- have competed in 90 percent of or started in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches
