PHILADELPHIA – The Holy Family University Women's Soccer Team celebrated Senior Day with a 1-0 shutout of Felician on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.
Prior to the match, HFU honored its Senior Class of
Hannah LaBadie (Penndel, Pa./Neshaminy (Penn State Berks)),
Jaina Preuhs (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley),
Kayla Balisalisa (North Wales, Pa./North Penn),
Lailia Solomon (Somerdale, N.J./Sterling),
Bella Scurci (Selbyville, Del./Indian River),
Gyzell Rowan (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy),
Karli Farrell (Philadelpiha, Pa./Pre-Physical Therapy),
Carly Fox (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy (Penn State Berks)),
Jessica Levush (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) and
Samantha Pastino (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan).
Fox netted the only goal, dispossessing a defender and slotting into the right corner from the middle of the box 6:01 ahead of the half.
HFU could not add insurance despite outshooting the Felician 19-2, but it did not matter as the Golden Falcons did not threaten the frame of Preuhs, who now ranks eighth in program history with 11 career shutouts.
Balisalisa and Pastino played in the back line in the shutout, along with
Jessica Wojnar (Cinnaminson, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy),
Amelia Brown (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland),
Julia Leibig (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) and
Lucy Quinn (Havertown, Pa./Haverford).
