WILMINGTON, Del. –
Kenna Rozanski's (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland) strike from the edge of the box in the 79th minute gave the HFU Women's Soccer Team a 2-1 win at Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday afternoon, maintaining the Tigers' perfect start to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.
The match-winner came after an
Allison Devine (Douglassville, Pa./Berks Catholic) cross and a
Jessica Levush (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) knock down.
It was the first goal of the season for Rozanski, and the first assist for both Devine and Levush.
Jaina Preuhs (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley) made her fourth and final save 2:55 later to secure the victory, before the crossbar denied
Gianna Georgette (Cochranville, Pa./Octorara Area) from making it 3-1 in the 85th.
It was the senior's 18th career win, now tied for eighth in program history.
Bridget Dickson (Somerdale, N.J./Sterling) opened the scoring from the penalty spot, her league-leading seventh goal of the year, with 8:45 remaining in the first half.
Despite Holy Family doubling up GBC 15-7 in attempts, the Lightning were able to tie it up with 22:20 to go.
