Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team will face cross-town rival Philadelphia University in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) semifinals on Saturday, May 7 at 12 p.m. at the Georgian Court University Lacrosse Field. The winner will advance to the conference title game and face either Chestnut Hill or host Georgian Court on Sunday, May 8.
Admission
Tickets for the game are $6 for adults and $3 for children, students with ID and senior citizens. Children three and under will be admitted free. Those that can't make it out to Lakewood, N.J. can watch live and free of charge by clicking here.
Road to the Semifinals
Holy Family: The Tigers earned the number four seed after finishing conference play with a 6-3 record. As a result, Holy Family hosted fifth-seeded Caldwell University in a quarterfinal game on Tuesday and came away with a 17-3 victory. Seniors Erin Harmer (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) and Paige Settar (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional), along with freshman Dana Trevito (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) each scored four goals a piece in the one-sided victory.
Philadelphia: The Rams secured the top-seed in the CACC Tournament after finishing conference play with a perfect 9-0 record. Philadelphia claimed the CACC Regular Season crown as well as a bye and automatic spot into the semifinals.
All-Time Series
Saturday will mark the 19th meeting all-time between Holy Family and Philadelphia. The Rams are 12-6 versus the Tigers in the all-time series after winning this year's regular season match, 13-8. This will also be the fourth time both teams face off in postseason play. The Rams hold a 2-1 edge on the Tigers in postseason. Holy Family won the 2013 title game, while Philadelphia won the 2011 semifinal and the 2014 championship match ups.
