Rockville Centre, N.Y. - Senior Jessica Teves scored the game-winning goal for Molloy College with :37 seconds remaining in regulation as the Holy Family University women's lacrosse team dropped a 12-11 decision to the Lions in a non-conference contest Thursday night at the Skelos Complex.

Holy Family is now 2-7 overall, while Molloy improves to 6-4 after the victory.

Sophomore
Paige Settar (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) tied her career-high for the second straight game as she led the Holy Family offense with four goals. Senior
Brigit LaRose (Lumberton, N.J./Holy Cross) totaled three points on the night with two goals and one assist, while junior
Brianna Lancetta (Marlton, N.J./Bishop Eustace) scored a pair of goals. Lancetta also controlled a team-high four draws and set a new career-high with four caused turnovers on defense.

Junior
Kimber Kisselback (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) led the team with five ground balls and came away with three caused turnovers for the third straight game. In her last four games, Kisselback has caused 11 turnovers on defense.

For Molloy, senior Samantha Ariotta and freshman Cooper Sesselman each scored three goals in the victory to lead the Lions. Sesselman also caused a team-high three turnovers as well as senior Candice Noakes who had a pair of assists on offense in addition to the three caused turnovers.

Molloy scored the game's final three goals after trailing 11-9 midway through the second half. Junior
Sarah Kelly (Washington Twp., N.J./Washington Twp.) scored the Tigers' last goal at the 13:14 mark of the second half after receiving a pass from LaRose to give the Tigers the two-goal advantage.

After almost ten minutes of neither team scoring, Molloy finally broke the ice when Sesselman scored her second goal of the game to bring the Lions to within one score, 11-10, with 3:58 left in regulation.

Sesselman would strike again minutes later with the game-tying goal at the 1:33 mark after freshman Alexa Watson picked up a ground ball off a shot that hit off the post. Â After a quick timeout by the Lions, Watson found Sesselman for the score to tie the game.

Molloy grabbed the lead in the final minute when Teves found the back of the net after Molloy regained possession after a Tigers' turnovers. Teves' score gave the Lions a 12-11 lead with :37 seconds remaining in the half.

Nicole Braungart (Medford, N.J./Bishop Eustace) forced a turnover to allow the Tigers the chance to possibly tie the game. In the offensive zone, LaRose managed to get a shot off with three seconds on the clock, however her shot went wide of the net as Molloy held on to the slim victory.

Holy Family led 9-5 at halftime after scoring five of the seven goals scored in the first half. The Tigers tack on three scores in the final 6:29 of the half thanks to book-end scores by Settar and one by Lancetta.Â

Sophomore goalkeeper
Grace Deckert (Jarrettsville, Md./Fallston) tied her career-high with 13 saves in net for the Tigers. Sophomore Caroline Winter totaled 10 saves for the Lions.

Both teams remained pretty even statically throughout the game. Â The Tigers held slight edges on ground balls (25-24) and draw controls (13-12), while the Lions held a slim advantage in shots (33-31) and turnovers (25-29).Â

Holy Family is back in action on Saturday, April 5 as the Tigers host Caldwell College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest. Game time is slated for 12 p.m. at Tiger Field.
