BOX SCORESparkill, N.Y. - The Holy Family University women's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference contest to Saint Thomas Aquinas College by the score of 13-7 on Thursday morning at Spartan Field.
Holy Family is now 7-8 overall as the Tigers season long five-game winning streak came to an end after the setback. Saint Thomas Aquinas improves to 11-3 overall.
Senior
Brigit LaRose (Lumberton, N.J./Holy Cross) and
Paige Settar (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) combined to score all seven of the team's goals to lead the offense. LaRose totaled four scores to increase her season total to 43 goals setting a new career-high. Her previous high was 42 goals set last season. She currently ranks third in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) in goals scored this season.
Settar finished with three goals to go along with a game-high six draw controls. The Tigers once again controlled the draw as a team by a 14-8 margin.
For Saint Thomas Aquinas, senior Margaret Sharp led the team with four goals, while junior Kellie Kucinski contributed three goals. Redshirt freshman Rosa Prestano supplied the Spartans with a game-high six ground balls and two caused turnovers.

After a goal by the Spartans, Settar tallied her third goal of the game to bring the Tigers back to within three at 10-7 with less than ten minutes to play in regulation. However, Saint Thomas Aquinas would hold the Tigers scoreless the rest of the way and add three more goals down the stretch.
