Christina Bonomo (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) scored a career-high five goals to help lead the Holy Family University women's lacrosse team to a 23-2 victory over Nyack College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Friday afternoon at the Torne Valley Complex.Â

Bonomo tallied five goals off seven shot attempts in the victory and also caused two turnovers on defense. Sophomore
Erin Harmer (Philadelphia, Pa./Nazareth Academy) also tallied a career-high in goals as she totaled four scores to go along with three assists. Â

Senior
Marissa Lawson (York, Pa./Central York) and junior
Brianna Lancetta (Marlton, N.J./Bishop Eustace) each finished with four points on offense. Lawson recorded three goals and an assist, while Lancetta finished with two goals and two assists.Â

For Nyack, senior Stacey Cervantes and sophomore Lauren Lebo each scored for the Warriors.Â

The Holy Family offense exploded for 12 first half goals, while its defense held Nyack scoreless the entire half. The Tigers outshot the Warriors, 27-6, in the first half and forced nine turnovers. For the game, Holy Family held a 39-12 advantage on shots and forced 19 turnovers.Â

The Tigers also controlled the draw with a 16-11 edge, while both teams recorded 15 ground balls.Â

Sophomore goalkeeper
Grace Deckert (Jarrettsville, Md./Fallston) picked up the win in net as she made seven stops, while allowing a season-low two goals. This marked the third time in her career that Deckert has allowed only two goals in a game.

Holy Family is back in action on Wednesday, March 12 as the Tigers host Kutztown University in a non-conference contest. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
