Senior Jennifer James (Philadelphia, Pa./Little Flower) scored a team-high three goals to lead the Holy Family offense.  She also collected one ground ball and two draw controls.  Junior Gina Mansi (Washington Twp., N.J./Washington Twp.) tallied a pair of goals, while fellow classmates Lauren Greco (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) and Samantha Cornely (Washington Twp., N.J./Camden Catholic) each added a goal against the Lions.  Sophomore Stephanie McNesby (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) also scored a goal and had three assists.

For Georgian Court, the Lions had a trio of scorers' record hat tricks as senior Shannon Mastrogiovanni, sophomore Corrine Coyle and freshman Stephanie Gallo each scored three goals. Coyle also tallied five ground balls, three draw controls and caused three turnovers.  Senior Jillian Hadfield contributed two goals for the Lions.

Georgian Court led from beginning to end as the Lions mounted a 3-0 lead before Holy Family scored its first goal.  James scored nine minutes in to cut the Lions lead to 3-1.  However, Georgian Court scored five unanswered goals to increase its lead to 8-1 after Coyle scored her third goal of the half at the 5:08 mark.

Holy Family ended the Lions run as James scored her second goal of the half off a pass from McNesby to make the score 8-2 with 4:12 to play in the half.  Georgian Court would add another goal before the end of the half and entered halftime with a 9-2 advantage.

In the second half, Holy Family came out firing as the Tigers tallied the first two goals of the half by James and Mansi to cut into the Lions' lead.  The pair of goals made the score 9-4.  However, Georgian Court answered back with a pair of goals of its own to again swell its lead to seven (11-4).

Holy Family would strike back with another pair of goals to cut the lead to 11-6.  Later in the half, the Tigers would come within five goals after McNesby scored with less than three minutes to play in regulation to make the score 13-8.

From that point on both teams kept each other off the scoreboard as the Lions held on to the 13-8 victory.

Holy Family is back in action on Thursday, April 7 as the Tigers host Wilmington University in a CACC contest.  Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
