Andres Rivera (Silver Spring, Md./Woodrow Wilson (Montgomery College)) has become the first HFU Baseball student-athlete to earn a place on the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) East Region All-Defensive Team, which is voted on by members of the association.
The East Region features the 28 teams from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, East Coast Conference and Northeast 10.
Rivera posted a perfect 1.000 field percentage in eighty chances, while providing three assists, in the outfield.
The senior helped lead Holy Family to its first-ever postseason appearance, as the Tigers won 20-plus games for the third season in a row.
