The HFU Baseball Team was selected to finish eighth in the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Preseason Coaches Poll, the league offices announced on Tuesday.
This is the first season since the CACC removed divisions, as each of the 12 teams will now play each other three times.
The top eight teams in the regular season standings qualify for the 2026 CACC Baseball Tournament, which begins with a best-of-three first round series hosted by higher seeds on May 1-2.
The winners of those four first round series advance to a four-team double-elimination final at Municipal Stadium in Waterbury, Conn. from May 7-9.
Entering its third campaign as a program, HFU Baseball is looking for qualify for its first CACC Tournament. The Tigers have won 20-plus games in each of their first two seasons.
Felician, a 2025 World Series participant, was the preseason favorite after receiving nine of a possible 11 first-place votes.
Wilmington, the defending CACC Tournament champion, came in second after garnering two top votes, while fifth place Dominican earned the remaining one.
In-between those two in second and third were Jefferson and Goldey-Beacom, who joined Felician and Wilmington in qualifying for the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
Ahead of Holy Family in sixth and seventh were Post and Chestnut Hill.
The Tigers open their 2026 campaign with a three-game series against Shepherd in Fairfax, Va. on Feb. 14-15.
