HFU's Casey Murphy (Merion Station, Pa./Lower Merion (Ursinus College)) was a repeat honoree as he was one of 12 student-athletes to feature on the 2025 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Baseball team, which is selected through voting conducted by the sports information offices of 30 institutions in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. 
 
The accolade caps a decorated two-year career as a Tiger for Murphy, who was also a repeat All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) honoree in 2025. 
 
The graduate student ranked second in Division II with seven complete games and was also 12th in walks allowed per nine innings (1.31) and 26th in strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.89).   
 
In addition to leading the CACC in those three categories, he was third in WHIP (1.25), fourth in wins (7) and fifth in ERA (3.50). 
 
Academically, Murphy completed his Master of Business Administration with a 3.83 cumulative grade point average. He was a four-time member of the CACC Academic Honor Roll and will be named to the 2025 CACC All-Academic Team early next week.
