Jalen David (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond) has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball Rookie of the Week for a second time this season, the league offices announced on Monday.
He previously won the award on
Feb. 24.
David had a 1.350 OPS over five appearances, all of which were wins, as he batted .563 (9-for-16) with two walks, a hit-by-pitch, triple, double, seven runs, seven RBI and four stolen baes.
The freshman reached base multiple times in every game, including finishing with at least two hits in four.
David first went 3-for-6 with a walk, hit-by-pitch, triple, five RBI, three runs and two stolen bases in Tuesday's sweep of Bloomfield.
After finishing 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs in Thursday's game two win over D'Youville, he closed out his week going 4-for-7 with a double, two runs, two RBI and two stolen bases in Friday's sweep of the Saints.
