Holy Family had five individuals honored, highlighted by receiving two major awards, as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced its Volleyball Awards on Wednesday.
Mia Wise (Genoa, Ill./Genoa-Kingston) was voted the CACC Setter of the Year, while
Collin Sibilia was named the Athletic Solutions Coach of the Year.
Joining Wise on the All-CACC Team were
Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington),
Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)) and
Mackenzie Layton (Clarksboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional).
Mia Wise (Genoa, Ill./Genoa-Kingston) – CACC Setter of the Year
A three-time CACC Setter of the Week, Wise leads the league and ranks sixth in Division II with 1,169 assists. The freshman is the only setter in the conference averaging over 10 assists per set, as her 10.44 are well ahead of second place's 9.01. She is also third in the CACC and 10th nationally with 58 service aces.
Collin Sibilia – Athletic Solutions CACC Coach of the Year
Sibilia becomes the program's first two-time CACC Coach of the Year, after also receiving the honor in 2021. Voted to finish fourth in the South Division of the Preseason Coaches Poll, he led HFU to a share of the division title with an 11-4 league mark. The Tigers notably lead the conference in points per set (16.20), kills per set (12.53), assists per set (11.88) and hitting percentage (.243).
Shelby Kinzer (Sioux Falls, S.D./Washington) – All-CACC First Team
Kinzer earns her first All-CACC accolade after ranking in the top four of the league in points (418), kills (353) and service aces (53), the latter of which is 20th in Division II. In addition to leading HFU in points and kills, the senior also tops the Tigers with 286 digs.
Ava Kidd (Walton, Ky./Larry A. Ryle (Saint Anselm)) – All-CACC First Team
Kidd is now a three-time All-CACC selection after receiving her first career First Team nod. The senior leads the conference and ranks 29th nationally with a .370 hitting percentage, which would break the program's single-season record. In addition to hitting percentage, she paces HFU with 17 blocks solos and is third with 2.25 kills per set.
Mackenzie Layton (Clarksboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional) – All-CACC Second Team
A four-time CACC Rookie of the Week, Layton is the only student-athlete in the league to rank in the top seven in both hitting percentage (.254) and kills per set (3.26), the latter of which leads the team and is fourth in the conference. The freshman is also fifth in the CACC with 388.5 points.
