Collin Sibilia, the winningest coach in program history, will enter his seventh season as head coach of the HFU women’s volleyball team in 2025.
Holy Family has advanced to the CACC Tournament Semifinals in four of his first six seasons, including back-to-back NCAA Tournaments in 2019 and Fall 2021. In 2021, the Tigers became the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) team to go undefeated in league play (18-0) since 2012, leading to him winning his first career CACC Coach of the Year award.

HFU would go on to win a match for the second straight NCAA Tournament, coming back to defeat fourth-seeded New Haven in five sets as Sibilia became the first volleyball coach in CACC history to reach back-to-back East Region Semifinals.

Holy Family led the league with five All-CACC honorees in 2022, and he has now had 17 All-Conference selections in his first six seasons. A Tiger won CACC Player of the Year in each of his first three, with Morgan Silks also three-peating as CACC Setter of the Year.
Sibilia was selected as a recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Assocation (AVCA) Thirty Under 30 Award in 2023, and on Oct. 19, 2024, he became the program’s all-time winningest coach with his 91st career victory.

He captured his first CACC Tournament title during the unique 2020-21 academic year that saw the season postponed until the spring due to COVID-19. HFU went 8-1 during the shortened schedule, eventually defeating Georgian Court in the championship match.

Holy Family received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament in his first season in 2019, where the Tigers would upset second-seeded Bentley in the first round. HFU finished the year 25-10, advancing to the CACC Championship Match.

Sibilia came to HFU after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at fellow CACC member USciences, where he oversaw the setters and middle blockers, while also scouting future opponents and providing strategic details about multiple aspects of the upcoming matches. He assisted in organizing and leading practices that transitioned into helping head coach Angie Smith with in-match decisions. In 2018, his final year, the Devils finished with their most overall and league victories since 2015.

Sibilia was a two-year member of the men’s soccer program at Division III Misericordia University, where he was part of the teams that captured the Middle Atlantic Conference championship in 2012 and qualified for the NCAA Tournament in both 2012 and 2013.

Following an injury that ended his soccer career, he began helping the women’s volleyball program as a student-assistant coach. From there, he quickly developed into a key component of the staff that earned the Middle Atlantic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year in 2014. The team qualified for the conference tournament in each of his two seasons.

While attending Misericordia, Sibilia also coached during in the summer for the volleyball club Quandomania. After four years of coaching the Summer Sand Volleyball Program, he was promoted to Director of the Player’s Edge Summer Volleyball Program.

Sibilia received his Bachelor of Arts in History in 2016, while also obtaining a teaching certification in Citizenship for Secondary Education. In May 2018, he completed his Master of Arts in History at Villanova University.
