The graduate transfer was the ace for a team that won 20 games in its first year as a program.
Muprhy leads the conference and is tied for second nationally with six complete games. He ranks second in the CACC with a 1.10 WHIP, which dropped to .90 in league play, and third with a 2.56 ERA.
The Lower Merion, Pa. native is also top-nine in the conference with five wins, 56.1 innings pitched, 61 strikeouts and 9.75 strikeouts per game.
Murphy had two wins and a save in league play, most notably limiting Chestnut Hill to one earned run on two hits - with eight strikeouts against one base on balls - in a complete game effort that secured a sweep in HFU's first-ever CACC series on March 22.
His other win came on April 14 against Bridgeport when he allowed one earned on two hits, while striking out a season-high nine with just one walk, over five innings.
