The HFU softball team was honored for its academic success by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for the second year in a row, with eight Tigers being named NFCA Scholar-Athletes.Â

The NFCA distinguishes squads that achieve a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above and individuals that post a GPA of 3.5 or higher.Â

Holy Family possesses a team GPA of 3.36.Â

Emily Siwek (Feasterville, Pa./Neshaminy) and
Gabrielle Wiley (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Moreland) repeated as NFCA Scholar-Athletes, while
Angelina Bresnen (Morrisville, Pa./Conwell Egan),
Emma Clayborne (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon),
Devyn Dydak (Bensalem, Pa./Nazareth Academy),
Alexis Letizia (Toms River, N.J./Donovan Catholic) and
Gina Olivieri (Philadelphia, Pa./Philadelphia Charter School) earned the recognition for a first time.Â
