Game Two
Holy Family took control with a three-run third that began with a
Rylee Hobel (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) single. Following the first out, the Tigers took advantage of an error to plate runs on a
Kylee Jones (Hulmeville, Pa./Neshaminy (Rider)) double,
Adrianna Lisotto (Middletown, N.J./Middletown North) sacrifice fly and
Olivia Croge (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) single.
HFU would then add insurance in the fourth and sixth, which both featured Hobel doubles.
Rachel Allen (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy (Elizabethtown)) led off the fourth with a single before coming home on Hobel's double, while
Lily Hoban (Millsboro, Del./Indian River) sent Hobel home with a double of her own in the sixth.
That proved improved when the Rams cut the deficit to two and brought the tying run to the plate in the seventh, but
Kinsley Hall (Frankford, Del./Indian River) was able to secure her sixth complete victory of the season.
Hobel led the offense with her second three-hit performance of the season, while Croge and Hoban also had multiple base knocks.
Game One
Trailing 1-2 with two outs in the top of the seventh,
Jaden Kelly (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) singled and Hobel walked to bring Hoban to the plate. Hoban singled to center field, but the potential tying run was thrown out at home.
Hoban led the offense with a 2-for-3 performance, while Hobel also reached twice.
Molly Moore (Conshohocken, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) thew a complete game, surrendering the two runs with five strikeouts against one base on balls.
Jefferson led 0-1 through five, but
Madison Grubb's (Swedesboro, N.J./Kingsway) leadoff triple in the sixth led to the Tigers tying the game at 1-1. The Rams immediately countered with a run in the bottom-half though, which proved to be the game-winner.
