Faust Earns All-CACC Honors at CACC Championship

PHILADELPHIA – Freshman Anthony Faust (Pennsauken, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep) earned All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) honors, highlighting the HFU men's cross country team's performance at the 2022 CACC Championship hosted at Belmont Plateau on Sunday. 
 
The Tigers finished seventh as a team, just one point behind sixth-place Goldey-Beacom and six points outside of the top-five. 
 
  • Faust was the second rookie to cross, navigating the 8K course in 28:14.1 to place 13th in the field of 79 with his fastest time at Belmont this season
  • Fellow freshman Michael McGerry (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) posted a top-third-of-the-field finish, crossing 25th with a time of 29:50.0
  • Brian Dietz (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) placed in the top-third of the field, finishing a career-best 32nd after completing the course in 30:33.8, a season-best at Belmont
  • Mike Correa (Brooklyn, N.Y./La Salle Academy) improved upon his finish from last year, crossing 45th in 33:11.1
  • Alex Pawlowski (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) navigated the course in 34:01.8
  • Vicenté Velez (35:21.8) and Matthew Davis (Bloomfield, Conn./Bloomfield) (38:07.7) both made their CACC Championship debuts, with Davis notably setting a new collegiate personal record
