Tigers Come Up Short at Chestnut Hill, 3-1

Lafayette Hill, Pa. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest at Chestnut Hill College by the score of 3-1 on Wednesday night at Victory Field #1 on the campus of Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

How it Happened
Chestnut Hill jumped out front early on in the game when Vini Brito scored the game's first goal in the 14^th minute. The Griffins would go on to double their lead later in the half when Joseph Casaletto took a header shot off a long pass from Zachary Gray for the score. Casaletto's goal gave the Tigers a 2-0 advantage in the 35^th minute.

The score remained that way until the 49^th minute when the Tigers cut the lead in half. The Holy Family defense forced a turnover as senior Christopher Tracey (Jenkintown, Pa./Abington) beat the Chestnut Hill goalkeeper on a break-away for the score. Tracey's team leading third goal of the season made the score 2-1 minutes into the second half.

However, Chestnut Hill tacked on an insurance goal in the 64^th minute when Gray tallied a goal of his own to give the Griffins a 3-1 advantage.

Holy Family returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 5 as the Tigers travel to face Nyack College in a CACC contest. Game time is slated for 2:30 p.m.
