Both Holy Family and Dowling are now 1-1-1 overall this season.

Dowling had plenty of opportunities to score early on in the match as the Golden Lions launched 14 shots in the first half alone. However, only four of those shots were on target as junior goalkeeper
Richard Ongaro (Columbus, N.J./Notre Dame/VCU) turned away each and every one of them.

Ongaro tied his career-high with a seven save performance to record his second straight shutout in as many games.Â

Dowling outshot Holy Family for the game, 25-5, including 6-1 in the two overtime periods. The Golden Lions also held the slight edge in corner kicks, 8-4.

Junior goalkeeper Chris Friedl tallied three saves in net for Dowling.

Alex Bilay (Philadelphia, Pa. (Ukraine)/Central) led the Tigers with two shots during the course of the game.

Holy Family is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 13 as the Tigers travel to face Concordia College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest. Game time is slated for 2 p.m.
