Game 1: Holy Family 2, Chestnut Hill 0

Senior Rachael Alligood (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman) tossed her first career no-hitter in the opener as she improved to 7-2 on the season.  Alligood faced 22 batters with her only blemish being a first inning walk to the lead off hitter, freshman Ashleigh Sharp.

Alligood forced ten groundouts and six fly outs on the afternoon to go along with five strikeouts.  She also lowered her earned run average to 2.60 on the year.

It marked the second no-hitter tossed by the Tigers this season.  Freshman Amanda Paredes (Moorpark, Calif./Thousand Oaks) tossed a no-hitter against Southern Connecticut State University on March 8.

Holy Family scored its first run of the game in the second inning.  Senior Erin Corrado (Fair Hill, Md./St. Mark's (Del.)) led the inning off with a walk and later advanced to third base.  With two outs, freshman Brianna Scotto (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) singled to right field scoring Corrado to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.

McDevitt made history in her second at-bat of the game in the third inning.  With two outs, McDevitt laid down a bunt towards third base as she beat out the throw to surpass Zebley as the team's all-time hits leader.

Holy Family doubled its lead in the fifth inning when senior AnnMarie Dalton (Northampton, Pa./Northampton Area) connected on her second home run of the season; a solo shot to center field.  Dalton's tenth career long ball gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead.

McDevitt finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate as she recorded career hits 206 and 207.

Sophomore Courtney Dayter (2-6) received the loss for Chestnut Hill as she went the distance.  In six innings of work Dayter allowed two runs on five hits.  She also issued a pair of walks.

Game 2: Holy Family 1, Chestnut Hill 0

She lowered her earned run average to 1.99 in 11 appearances (8 starts).
