Christopher Tracey (Abington, Pa./Abington) scored the game's lone goal in the 72
nd minute to lift the Holy Family University men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Bloomfield College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Saturday afternoon at Foley Field.
Holy Family improves to 2-3-1 overall and 2-1-0 in the CACC, while Bloomfield falls to 1-4-0 overall and 1-1-0 in conference action.
After a scoreless first half, Holy Family struck first in the goal scoring department midway through the second stanza. Tracey came through with his first career goal in the 72
nd minute to give the Tigers the eventual victory.
Despite being outshot by a 19-8 margin, the Holy Family defense managed to keep the Bloomfield offense at bay not allowing a score. Junior goalkeeper
Nick Aglira (Churchville, Pa./Archbishop Wood) made five saves in net to record his first shutout of the season.
Holy Family is back in action on Tuesday, September 24 as the Tigers host Georgian Court University in a CACC contest. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
