Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team scored two second-half goals on its way to a 2-1 victory over visiting Concordia College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.

Holy Family improves to 1-2-1 overall and opens conference play with a 1-0-0 mark with the victory, while Concordia falls to 1-2-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the CACC.

Trailing 1-0 in the second half, Holy Family tied the game within the first two minutes of the half. Senior
Ahmed Elgayar (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) scored his first goal of the season in the 47
th minute after heading the ball into the back of the net after receiving a pass off a corner kick attempt by sophomore
Kevin McCollick (Washington Twp., N.J./Washington Twp.).Â

The game remained tied 1-1 until the 60
th minute as sophomore
Aiah Mbriwa (Abington, Pa./Philmont Christian Academy) gave the Tigers their first lead of the game. Mbriwa scored his team leading second goal of the season after taking advantage of an empty net. Concordia sophomore goalkeeper Ruel Gordon came out of the net to challenge the play, however Mbriwa beat Gordon to score towards the lower left of the goal.Â

Concordia had a huge opportunity to tie the game in the 84
th minute after sophomore Ovan Oakley was rewarded with a penalty kick after being fouled inside the box. Oakley shot the ball head on as Holy Family junior goalkeeper
Nick Aglira (Churchville, Pa./Archbishop Wood) made a clutch save rejecting the shot as the Tigers quickly cleared the ball out of the box.Â

Aglira made seven saves in net for the Tigers after facing 18 shots by the Clippers.Â

Oakley scored the game's first goal in the 18
th minute, which gave Concordia a 1-0 lead.

Holy Family is back in action on Thursday, Sept. 19 as the Tigers host Wilmington University in a CACC contest. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
