Waltham, Mass. - The Holy Family University women's basketball team's season came to an end after falling to Bentley University in the semifinals of the NCAA Division II East Region semifinals by the score of 85-56 Saturday night at the Dana Center.
Holy Family, ranked sixth in the recent USA Today/ESPN NCAA Division II National Top-25 Coaches' Poll, concludes its season with a 28-3 mark. Bentley, ranked third nationally, improves to 30-1 overall and will advance to the East Region Final Monday night (7 p.m.) against Dowling College.
Senior Mann finished with a team-high 12 points and wraps up her four-year career as one of the program's top scorers. Mann is ranked third all-time with 1,881 career points. Furthermore, Mann is ranked fourth all-time with 916 career rebounds.

Ana Cruz (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) also scored in double-figures as she totaled 11 points to go along with three assists. Senior
Kelly Brady (Ocean City, N.J./Ocean City) tallied seven points and six rebounds, while junior
Mary Ellen McCollum (Abington, Pa./St. Basil Academy) contributed seven points. Senior
Molly Hanlon (Narberth, Pa./Lower Merion) added four points and a game-high six assists. Hanlon finishes her career ranked tenth all-time in program history with 321 career assists.
For Bentley, junior Lauren Battista led all scorers with a game-high 21 points after shooting 9-of-13 from the field. Fellow classmate Jacqui Brugliera added 19 points off 8-of-10 shooting from the field. She also grabbed six rebounds.
Bentley opened the game on a 14-2 run and never looked back as the Falcons shot 60.6-percent from the field, including 43.8-percent (7-16) from beyond the arc in the first half.
The Falcons led by 19 points at the half by the score of 48-29 and went on to lead to by as many as 34 points later in the second half.
The Bentley defense limited Holy Family to just 32.4-percent shooting from the field and controlled the boards, 48-33.
