Tigers Fall in Overtime at Nyack, 2-1

Nyack, N.Y. - Sophomore Maxi Fucha scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give Nyack College a 2-1 victory over the visiting Holy Family University men's soccer team in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Saturday afternoon at Mosely Field.
 
Holy Family is now 4-7-1 overall and 4-4-0 in the CACC, while Nyack improves to 5-6-1 overall and 3-4-0 in conference action.
 
With the game tied 1-1, Fucha received a pass from sophomore Mathias Wenger as he connected on the game-winner 3:36 into overtime.  Fucha's goal in the 94th minute broke the 1-1 deadlock as the Warriors came away with a 2-1 victory.
 
The game was sent into overtime thanks to junior Keith Crews (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) who came through with his first goal of the season for the Tigers early in the second half.  Crews scored his first goal since the 2011 season to tie the game at 1-1 in the 49th minute.
 
Thirty-eight seconds prior to Crews' goal, Nyack scored the game's first score to break a 0-0 deadlock.  Freshman Andrew Kupp tallied the goal for the Warriors, while graduate student Felix Horn assisted on the play.
 
Sophomore Richard Ongaro (Columbus, N.J./Notre Dame/VCU) made three saves in net for the Tigers after facing a game-high 18 shots by Nyack.   For Nyack, freshman Tom Lohman made four saves after seeing nine shots by the Tigers.
 
Holy Family is back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 16 as the Tigers host Chestnut Hill College in a CACC contest.  Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
