OHIO DOMINICAN BOX SCORE
Erie, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's volleyball team came up short during day one of the Mercyhurst Tournament hosted by Mercyhurst College and Gannon University Friday night in Erie.
Holy Family is now 0-7 overall after falling to Mercyhurst, 3-0, and Ohio Dominican University, 3-1, on day one of the tournament.
Against host Mercyhurst, the Tigers fell in three sets by the scores of 25-13, 25-10 and 25-20. Senior
Cara Przybylowicz (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) led the team with six kills, while junior
Chelsea Keegan (Bucyrus, Ohio/Colonel Crawford) had a team-best 14 assists.
For Mercyhurst, Becky Leusch finished with a match-high 11 kills to go along with two block assists. Kiera Rebert led the team with a match-high 25 assists.

Sarah Ambach (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) and freshman
Rachel Johnson (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way West) each tallied a game-high 14 kills against Ohio Dominican, however the Tigers came up short falling in four sets. Ohio Dominican took the first two sets by the scores of 27-25 and 25-15 respectively. Holy Family bounced back and took set three by the score of 25-22, however Ohio Dominican clinched the match with a 25-22 win in set four.
Ambach recorded a .324 attack percentage to lead the Tigers attack. She also recorded two solo blocks. Johnson added 14 digs to go along with her double-digit total in kills.
Also for Holy Family, freshman
Charlotte Sabatano (Fredrick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) came away with ten kills and12 digs, while fellow classmate
Emma Herring (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) added nine kills. Keegan finished with a match-high 45 assists and also added 11 digs. Sophomore
Devyn Ingram (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) led the team with four service aces and a team-high 22 digs. Freshman
Madi Mcshane (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) had 18 digs on the defensive end.
For Ohio Dominican, Lauren Kraemer and Kelsey Barker each led the team with 11 kills. Tory Thompson added nine kills to go along with a match-best 23 digs, while Darby Slavin led the team with 36 assists.
Holy Family is back in action tomorrow as the Tigers face Gannon University and Lake Erie College on day two of the Tournament. Holy Family will take on Gannon at 10:30 a.m. and Lake Erie at 1:30 p.m.
