Philadelphia, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's volleyball team picked up a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory over visiting Goldey-Beacom College by the score of 3-0 Friday night at the Campus Center.
Holy Family is now 4-13 overall and 2-3 in conference play, while Goldey-Beacom falls to 4-9 overall and 0-5 in the CACC.
Holy Family won by the scores of 25-23, 25-15 and 25-18.
Junior
Sarah Ambach (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) led the Tigers with a match-high 10 kills, while recording an impressive .600 attack percentage. She also had one solo block and two block assists. Sophomore
Devyn Ingram (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) tallied nine kills to go along with six digs, while senior
Cara Przybylowicz (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) contributed eight kills.
Junior
Chelsea Keegan (Bucyrus, Ohio/Colonel Crawford) recorded 32 set assists for the Tigers to go along with four digs. Freshman
Rachel Johnson (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way West) had seven kills and a pair of service aces, while fellow classmate
Emma Herring (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) recorded five kills, two service aces and two block assists.
For Goldey-Beacom, Monica Dempsey and Kadi McCoy each led the attack with six kills apiece. Dempsey also tallied seven set assists and four defensive digs. Jamika Townsend finished the match with five kills, ten set assists and eight digs.
Holy Family is back in action tomorrow as the Tigers travel to face Felician College for a CACC contest. Match time is slated for 1 p.m.
