FINAL RESULTS
Waterbury, Conn. - The Holy Family University men's golf team finished tenth overall at the Northeast Intercollegiate Championship hosted by Post University Monday morning at the Timberlin Golf Course.
Holy Family finished with a combined two-day score of 680 to finish tenth overall. The Tigers improved by 26 strokes on the final day to card a 327. Holy Family scored a 353 on day one.
Senior
Robert Moratti (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) led the Tigers with a team-low score of 161 over the two-day tournament to finish tied for 26
th overall. Moratti carded a 78 to improve by five strokes. Fellow classmate
Daniel Costello (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock North) finished tied for 32
nd scoring a two-day total of 163. Costello shot a 78 on day two as he improved by seven strokes from his day one score (85).
Senior
Charles Prendergast (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) improved by nine as he shot an 81 on day two to finish with a combined score of 173. Fellow classmate
Jonathan Burns (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) finished with a two-day score of 184 (93-91), while freshman
Matthew DiNardo (/) wrapped up the tournament with a 90 on day two (112-90--202).
UMass Lowell won the tournament with a team-low score of 611 (304-307). Post 's Thomas Rees won medalist honors with an individual low score of 148 (73-75).
Holy Family is back in action on Friday, Sept. 21 as the Tigers compete in the Dowling September Shootout hosted by Dowling College at the Lin Links.
