Women's Volleyball Competes at Ram Fest

West Chester, Pa. - The Holy Family University women's volleyball team competed at the annual Ram Fest Tournament hosted by West Chester University on Friday and Saturday.  The Tigers wrapped up the two-day tournament with a 1-2 record.
 
Holy Family (2-11) began the tournament on Friday with a non-conference match with Daemen College.  The Tigers came up short 3-0 falling by the scores of 20-25, 9-25, and 18-25.  On Saturday, the Tigers bounced back and defeated Ohio Valley University in three straight sets winning 25-17, 25-16, and 25-18.  Holy Family then wrapped the tournament up facing off against host West Chester.  The Tigers dropped the match by the score of 3-0 (17-25, 18-25 and 23-25).
 
Senior Sarah Ambach (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) led the Holy Family attach over the three matches as she averaged a team-best 2.22 kills per set.  She finished the tournament with a .273 attack percentage. Ambach also totaled five blocks, including two solo blocks.
 
Freshman Charlotte Sabatano (Fredrick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) also averaged over two kills per set as she tallied 19 total kills.  She also averaged 1.44 digs per set.  Senior Cara Przybylowicz (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) averaged 2.00 kills per set and tallied three block assists.
 
Freshmen Rachel Johnson (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way West) and Madi Mcshane (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) led the team defensively both averaging over three digs per set.  Johnson averaged 3.22 digs to go along with 1.67 kills per set, while Mcshane tallied a team-best 3.33 digs per set over the weekend.
 
Junior Chelsea Keegan (Bucyrus, Ohio/Colonel Crawford) tallied 75 set assists for an 8.33 average per set in the nine total sets.  She also recorded five total blocks, including four block assists. 
 
Holy Family is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 19 as the Tigers host the University of the Sciences in a CACC contest.  Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
