BOX SCORE

Bloomfield, N.J. - The Holy Family University men's soccer team suffered a 6-1 loss to Bloomfield College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest Saturday afternoon on the road.

Holy Family, ranked seventh in the recent NCAA Division II NSCAA East Region Poll, is now 7-2-1 overall and 5-1-1 in conference play.  This marks the team's first loss since Sept. 3 when the Tigers fell short to C.W. Bloomfield led early with a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute when Juan Ramirez headed the ball into the net off a cross pass from Edgar Aguilar.  However, Holy Family tied the game when junior Dodji Freitas (Philadelphia, Pa. From that point on though, Bloomfield scored five straight goals with three goals coming from Terry Gibbs.  Gibbs scored two first-half goals in the 34th and 37th minute and then tallied his third in the 76th minute of action.

Bloomfield outshot Holy Family 31-9 in the contest and held a slight advantage in corner kicks, 6-4.

Senior goalkeeper Mark Ferretti (Voorhees, N.J./Paul VI) made 11 saves in net for Holy Family.

Holy Family is back in action on Monday, Oct. 10 as the Tigers host West Chester University in a non-conference contest.  Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
