Men’s Soccer Shutout By Millersville, 4-0

Millersville, Pa. – The Holy Family University men's soccer team fell to Millersville University, 4-0, in a non-conference road contest Wednesday night.

Holy Family wraps up the regular season with a 7-8-3 overall record, while Millersville is now 11-4-1 after the victory.

Millersville jumped out to the game's first lead early on in the first half as senior Kyle Loughlin scored his sixth goal of the season as junior Eric Pepper assisted on the play. The Marauders increased its lead to 2-0 later in the half as Pepper assisted freshman Andrew Schuler with his first goal of the season in the 31st minute.

Millersville led 2-0 entering halftime and added two more goals in the second half from junior Aaron Roland in the 51st minute and freshman Andrew Dukes in the 69th minute as the Marauders went on to the 4-0 victory.

Holy Family currently holds the eighth and final playoff spot in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's soccer standings. The Tigers lead Caldwell College by one point and will need the Cougars to lose to Dominican College on Saturday to clinch the final post-season berth. A win or a tie by Caldwell will eliminate Holy Family from post-season play.

The CACC tournament is set to begin on Tuesday, Nov. 2 with quarterfinal action. The top four seeds will host quarterfinal contests beginning at 2 p.m.
