Internship Information

The HFU Strength & Conditioning department will provide students with knowledge and experience in Strength & Conditioning at the NCAA Division II level in a growing athletic population. HFU Strength & Conditioning provides exposure to a collegiate training environment and the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. Interns will gain knowledge and skills in evidence-based training protocols and procedures.

Candidates will follow a curriculum dedicated to preparation for the NSCA-CSCS exam by learning:
  • Programming
  • Exercise Technique
  • Injury Modifications
  • Training Methodology
  • Sprint and Plyometric Technique
  • And so much more!
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS FOR HFU STUDENTS
  • Undergraduate – Pursuing a degree in health science or related field
  • Cover Letter & Resume
  • In-Person or Zoom Interview
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-HFU STUDENTS
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Students – Completed or pursuing a degree in health science or related field
  • Preferred, but not mandatory certifications – CSCS or CSCCA, CPR/First Aid
  • Cover Letter, Resume, and (3) References
  • In-Person or Zoom Interview
INTERNSHIP CYCLES
Fall: Mid-August to Mid-December – Deadline to Apply July 20th
Spring: Early January to Mid-May – Deadline to Apply December 1st
