NEW CASTLE, Del. – The HFU Volleyball Team defeated Queens (25-17, 19-25, 25-20, 25-18) in action at Wilmington's Wildcat Regional Invitational on Friday.
Individual Highlights
- Mia Wise (Genoa, Ill./Genoa-Kingston), who had a match-high 29 assists, moved into fifth in program history in career assists over the weekend as she currently stands at 1,689
- The sophomore added 11digs for her fifth double-double of the season
- Mackenzie Layton (Clarksboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional) also posted a double-double, her fourth of the year, as she led all players with 14 kills and had 10 digs
- Abby Bachman (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas Valley) joined Wise and Layton with a team-best four aces
- Cadence Palmer (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) led all players with 17 digs and added three aces
- Leah Logan (Bloomfield, N.J./Abundant Life Academy) topped the Tigers with three blocks

How it Happened
- HFU led throughout in the first after opening with six straight points, three of which were aces by Layton
- After Queens took the second, the Tigers used 14 unanswered early in the third - highlighted by three Layton kills and three Palmer aces - to reestablish the lead
- Trailing 9-11 in the fourth, HFU closed on a 16-7 run as Grace Sims (Glenwood Springs, Colo./Glenwood Springs) produced four kills in the stretch
