Women’s Basketball the Preseason Favorite as CACC Unveils Coaches Poll

Coming off its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament title in 10 years, HFU has been tabbed to repeat by the league's coaches in the 2025-26 CACC Women's Basketball Preseason Poll.

Holy Family returns nine student-athletes from the 2024-25 team that qualified for the program's first NCAA Tournament since 2016. The Tigers would go on to advance to the program's fourth East Region Final (Sweet 16).

HFU received seven of a possible 10 first-place votes in the poll, with second place Jefferson earning three and third place Caldwell one. The Tigers defeated Jefferson, the regular season champion and also an NCAA Tournament participant, in the 2025 championship game.

Defending CACC North Division champion Dominican came in fourth, while Chestnut Hill and Felician tied for fifth. Rounding out the rankings were Post, Goldey-Beacom, Georgian Court, Bridgeport and Wilmington.

New to CACC Basketball for the 2025-26 season is the removal of divisions, as the conference now features a double round-robin format for its 11 teams. The top eight teams in the regular season standings qualify for the 2026 CACC Tournament, which begins with the quarterfinal round hosted at higher seeds on March 3.

The semifinals and championship are then slated to be held at Caldwell on March 7-8.

Holy Family begins its 2025-26 season on the weekend of Nov. 15-16, traveling to College of Staten Island to take on both Saint Michael's and Franklin Pierce.

CACC play commences on Nov. 25 when the Tigers travel to Dominican.
