CACC Release
Kelly Killion '08 has become the fourth HFU individual to be inducted into the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Hall of Fame, the league offices announced on Tuesday.
Notably already a member of the CACC Hall of Fame as part of Holy Family's 2007-08 team, she joins Mike McLaughlin (Class of 2016), Catherine Carr (2019) and Melissa Murphy (2022) in etching her name in the conference's history.
A four-time All-CACC selection, two-time CACC Player of the Year and the 2004-05 CACC Co-Newcomer of the Year, Killion was a key component on HFU teams that went 85-1 in league play from 2004-08.
The Tigers captured three conference championships during her career, with Killion - also a four-time CACC All-Tournament honoree - being voted the CACC Tournament Most Valuable Player following the 2005 and 2007 events.
Holy Family qualified for the NCAA Tournament in all four of her seasons, with the aforementioned 2007-08 squad becoming the first CACC team to advance to the NCAA Division II East Region Final (Sweet 16).
A three-time All-CACC First Team and two-time All-East Region First Team selection, Killion is the CACC's NCAA era all-time leader with 313 3-point field goals. She also ranks second in the league's history with 619 assists and 17th with 1,574 points.
Inducted into the Holy Family University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021, Killion graduated cum laude as she earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2008.
She was named the head coach at American University in April, after spending the previous 11 seasons, three of which she was the associate head coach, at the University of Pennsylvania under the abovementioned McLaughlin.
