STATEN ISLAND – Alexson Songor (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) won two medals as the HFU men's track & field team closed out its calendar year at Wagner's Seahawk Shootout hosted at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday.
 

• Songor first topped a field of 59 in the 600m, breaking Taurai Augstin's seven-year-old school record with a time of 1:20.97
  • He then teamed with La'Marc Rex (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest), Peyton Engle (/) and Jonathan Hackshaw (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman (Monroe College)) to win bronze in the 4x400m relay, as the quartet combined to finish in 3:25.53
• Nishorn Pierre (Grenada/Jamaica College) earned two medals, placing second out of 28 in the high jump with a clearance of 2.05m, an NCAA provisional, on his third attempt. He missed out on first by one attempt, as the gold medalist cleared on the second
  • He also won bronze in the triple jump, marking third out of 24 with a distance of 14.24m

• Isaiah Davenport (Pleasantville, N.J./Pleasantville) missed out on joining Pierre on the high jump podium by one attempt, as he cleared 2.00m, while Ernest Robertson (Miami, Fla./Palmer Trinity) was fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.23m
